A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available for the upcoming school year at a high school location in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This contract position is ideal for a licensed professional seeking to support diverse student populations with speech and language needs within a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student goals and curriculum.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational and clinical standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations on speech and language services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Experience working in school settings with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders in school-aged populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills conducive to team collaboration.
- Knowledge of state and federal educational laws related to special education services.

Duration: Contract for the duration of the 2023-2024 school year
